Hana Foundation
Hana is a charity and humanitarian organization that started its activities after the uprising in 1991 and broadcasted in medias by which it became recognized.
On the other hand, the history of donation is much older than what we think. The most important period is the time of the leader (Sultan Muthafaraldin).
Along with his importance role in the remembrance of the prophet Mohammed's (pbuh) birthday and rejoicing it for more than a month, Muthafaraldin invited people to join him for having meals. For those who were not attending his invitation, he was taking the food by himself to them, This habit became an example and even a part of culture for Erbil and all Kurdish people to be kind and generous despite being believing the idea that charity and donation is a part of Islam.
Hana attended to relieving this culture and took it to higher level till it grew even more and planted it in the heart of people as they are assisting poor and orphans by donating every kind of needs without hesitation and distinguishing between races, languages, and religion.
